Check Up on Yourself at CNM Health and Wellness Fair Oct. 10

CNM Human Resources is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair Oct. 10 at Smith Brasher Hall, where all CNM employees can learn about ways to become healthier. There will be health screenings, flu shots and educational information. Employees can talk to CNM’s health vendors to learn more about their plans and ask specific questions about healthcare needs. Local gyms, health food stores, smoothie stores and health awareness organizations will also be on hand. In addition, classes will be available to learn about various exercises.


Mammograms Available During Fair

Assured Imaging is bringing the latest in mammography equipment to the Health and Wellness Fair and will be offering mammograms from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 888-233-6121 to schedule an appointment. For more info about the Health and Wellness Fair, call Human Resources at 224-4600.


Human Resources Offers Online Access for Open/Switch Enrollment Period for Health Benefits and Flexible Spending Accounts

Beginning Oct. 6, employees will be able to change their benefit options online during the annual Open/Switch Enrollment period for health benefits and flexible spending accounts. The Open/Switch Enrollment period runs from Oct. 6 to Nov. 14. If you plan to make changes, please submit your changes as early as possible to ease processing time. If no changes are made, your current health benefits will continue for the new plan year. You must re-enroll in the flexible spending account to continue it for the year ahead. For more information about the flexible spending account and the health benefits that are offered to eligible employees, click here. If you have questions, contact Human Resources at 224-4600. Instructions for using the new online system will be provided as the enrollment period nears.


NMPSIA Board Votes to Reduce Medical Premium Increases

CNM employees who participate in a medical plan through the college will see a 1.5 percent increase in medical premiums this year instead of a 2.85 percent increase.
