Open Enrollment

CNM employees can enroll and make changes to their benefits during the open enrollment period at the end of each year.

Open Enrollment is an annual opportunity to make changes to certain benefits without having to provide proof of a qualified change in status. CNM offers annual open enrollment for the following benefit programs.

Participants in the above insurances should expect to receive their new 2018 benefit cards between December 13th and December 31st at their home address. Please review your home address on MyCNM to ensure we have the correct address on file for you.

If you don’t receive your cards by December 30th, please contact the appropriate carrier above to request your ID number and logon to their individual website to register. Once you are registered as a member to the online services, you can print a temporary card. Some carriers also offer a mobile app that allows you to carry your card with you virtually.

Basic Life – Paid 100% by CNM
Supplemental Life for Employee, Spouse/Domestic Partner, Child(ren) – paid 100% by Employee

 

All benefit eligible employees can add or increase their supplemental life by $10,000 or $20,000 as long as their total amount of supplemental coverage does not exceed $250,000.  Employees can also increase child life coverage up to $20,000. New coverage to be effective 1/1/18. You should have received, via CNM e-mail, a list of your current life policies and costs. If you did not receive this letter, please e-mail the benefits team at benefits@cnm.edu.

The Internal Revenue Service has announced an increase in the FSA medical plan for 2018 contribution limit from $2600 to $2650. All eligible employees who wish to participate in the medical or dependent care flexible spending account plans MUST re-enroll for 2018.
