Tax Help Midnight Madness 2013

Free Service Helps Last Minute Tax Payers

The last day for taxpayers to complete their taxes is April 15.  Tax Help New Mexico will be open at five locations on this day.  Below are the locations and hours.

Tax Help New Mexico is a free service for people whose household income is $51,000 or less or those who are 65 years or older.

Hours for all Albuquerque sites for Monday April 15 :

Main   9:00am - midnight

Montoya   8:00am - 7:00pm

South Valley   9:00am - 1:00pm

Westside   12:00pm - 7:00pm

New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department   8:00am - 4:00pm

The service is a first come, first serve and a short wait should be anticipated.

What is Tax Help New Mexico?

Tax Help is offered through a partnership between CNM and the United Way of Central New Mexico. The service usually opens in February and runs until the last day to file taxes, typically April 15. We may not be able to help those with complex tax situations.

What to Bring

To have your taxes prepared, you must present proper documentation including, but not limited to:

  • Tax payer(s) must have a photo ID (driver license, state issued ID, passport, military ID, tribal ID)
  • Social Security cards or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for yourself, your spouse, your dependents or anyone else on your return.
  • All W-2 Forms
  • All 1099 Forms (Miscellaneous, Interest, Dividends, etc.)
  • All 1098 Forms (Mortgage and Tuition Statements)
  • Prior Year Tax Return.
