TRIO Student Support Services

TRIO Student Support Services provides assistance to qualifying students who plan to graduate from CNM and then transfer to a four-year institution.


Student Support Services is one of eight federally funded United States Department of Education TRIO grant programs serving low income, disabled and First Generation college bound students who are determined to succeed in college.

TRIO support services include:

  • Academic, career and personal coaching;
  • One-on-one tutoring in English and math;
  • College success workshops and educational activities;
  • TRIO computer lab and study area;
  • Cultural and educational events;
    Student leadership opportunities;
  • Networking and support from people with similar goals and challenges.

Central New Mexico Community College will be hosting visits from 4-year universities throughout the term:

  • New Mexico State University
  • The University of New Mexico
  • New Mexico Highlands University
  • New Mexico Tech
