Tutoring is an opportunity for learning. In order to maximize the benefits of tutoring, it is important that you:
- Attend tutorials on a regular basis.
- Realize that tutoring is not just for those having difficulty with their classes, but also for students who want to improve their grades and do well.
- Come prepared and be willing to participate. Students should bring their questions and course materials to each tutoring session.
- Be prompt and notify TRIO, (505) 224-4375, if you cannot make your appointment.
If you are not making satisfactory academic progress during the semester, receiving a "C" or below in class and/or have to repeat coursework, it is highly encouraged that you attend TRIO and CNM Learning Centers for tutoring on a regular basis.
Tutoring Appointments
Tutoring is available seven days a week. To schedule a tutoring appointment in advance, call (505) 224-4375. On occasion, students may be able to get tutored without an appointment.
Schedules may change each term; please call in advance. Sessions are offered remotely and in staff offices and in the TRIO student area. Tutoring sessions are usually conducted in staff 50-60 minutes in length.
Contact Joel (Main Campus) or Jaime (Montoya Campus) to sign up. TRIO also offers 24/7 tutoring with TutorMe. For more information and to sign up, please email triosss@cnm.edu.
