2025 Program Review

The annual Collegewide Integrated Program Review (CIPR) process is a collaborative effort that allows us to reflect on and improve our offerings. The process moves through several key stages to ensure all voices are heard. It begins with deans and associate deans diving into program data with program directors, chairs, and faculty. This is an opportunity to highlight successes, address challenges, and request necessary support. Several administrative departments also review the data and provide comments from their perspectives. All of this data and feedback is then reviewed by the Education & Learning Council and CIPR Leadership Team, who provide final recommendations to the CNM Strategic Executive Team.

The results of the 2025 CIPR program review are as follows:

  • 5 programs designated Grow
  • 68 programs designated Sustain
  • 33 programs designated Fix
  • 8 programs designated Sunset, pending Governing Board approval

The Sunset recommendations were initiated by their respective schools, not as a direct result of CIPR data-suggested recommendations; however, the recommendations were supported by the CIPR program review stakeholders. Sunset recommendations have been approved by the Planning Committee in March 2026 and will be presented to the full Governing Board for final approval in April. Program deactivation plans are being developed, including teach out periods, by the school deans in collaboration with program faculty and staff. Program deactivations will have no impact on faculty employment.

Cross-divisional program support plans will be developed and implemented for programs designated for “Fix” and “Grow.” See the 2025 CIPR Program Review Final Designations PDF for the full list of final program designations.

Visit the CIPR Program Review Process webpage for more information on program review metrics, methodology, and designation definitions.

2024 Program Support

Cross-divisional program support plans have been developed and implemented for programs designated Fix or Grow during the 2024 program review. See the 2024 CIPR Program Review Final Designations for the full list of final program designations, and the 2024 CIPR Program Support Dashboard for plans and updates.
