Request Transcripts from CNM

Unofficial Transcripts

If you are a current student, you can view and print unofficial transcripts from myCNM for free.

If you are a former student, you can request an unofficial transcript by mail for free by completing and submitting the Unofficial Transcript Request Form. Faxed unofficial transcripts have an additional fee.

Official Transcripts

Ordering official transcripts is easy and convenient. Parchment, a widely-used digital credential service, offers many benefits, including:
  • Fast and secure processing
  • Easy-to-track transcript requests
  • Automated email notifications sent when transcripts are processed and received
  • Rush delivery service

You must have all financial obligations paid at CNM before you can order an official transcript. If you have any holds on your account, an official transcript request will not be processed. Instead, an unofficial transcript can be issued if you have holds.

Current Students (attended CNM within the last three terms)
  1. Log in to myCNM with your username and password
  • If you have forgotten your CNM ID number: Contact the Records Office at (505) 224-3000 for assistance.
  • If you have issues with your login: Click on "Forgot Password or Forget Username?" Follow instructions on the screen to reset your password or username. If you are still unable to login, call (505) 224-3000.
  1. Click the Student tab
  2. Click the Request an Official Transcript link
  3. Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
  • Select Destination Type (organization or school, yourself, or another individual
  • Select Product Type (electronic, paper transcript mailed with/without attachments, or paper transcript pick-up)
  • Enter Order Options and Payment Information
  • Review and Confirm to submit your order
  • A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you

If you are still waiting for your final grades you have two options:

  1. Order your official transcript after your grades appear on your online unofficial transcript.
  2. When ordering your transcript, select "Hold for Grades" (this can be done in the current term only).

Former Students (have not attended CNM within the last three terms)
  1. Visit the Parchment login page
  2. If this is your first time logging in, please create a Parchment account
  3. Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
  • Select Destination Type (organization or school, yourself, or another individual)
  • Select Product Type (electronic, paper transcript mailed with/without attachments, or paper transcript pick-up)
  • Enter Order Options and Payment Information
  • Review and Confirm to submit your order
  • A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you.


Students Enrolled Prior to 1986
Students who attended before 1986 may go directly to the Parchment Ordering page and create an account to make your request. Any student whose CNM academic credit record includes attendance before 1986 may have a "legacy" record that lives in our archives. Please allow extra processing time for these transcripts.

Time to Receipt of Transcripts

  • Electronic: within one business day (Legacy transcript may take additional processing time)
  • Pick-up: Orders placed before midnight will be available for pick-up at Main Campus the next business day after 2 p.m.

Please note: processing time may increase due to high volume at certain times of the year.

To authorize another person to pick up your paper transcript at the Registrar's Office, you must enter that person's name in the "Recipient Name" field when ordering the transcript. If you didn't include their name on the request, you may send a signed memo with the recipient authorizing them to pick up your transcript. The person you authorize to pick up must bring their own photo ID (example: NM driver’s license). 


Submit Your Transcript to CNM

After you have completed your CNM application, request an official transcript from each institution you have previously attended. Visit their websites to find out how to request transcripts. Some institutions have online request forms.

Hard-copy transcripts are considered official when they arrive in a sealed, stamped, official envelope with the seal and any other security feature intact. Electronic transcripts are considered official when received from a secure site formally linked to the sending institution or testing service. Academic records received in any other condition, such as transcripts that arrive in an unsealed envelope, that you email or upload yourself, or that are printed from the school portal, are not considered official.
