Article 22: Job Classifications

Collective Bargaining Agreement for Maintenance and Operations

22.1

The parties agree that classification descriptions are intended to provide a general description of the duties to be performed by the incumbent, not an all inclusive list of duties. Employees are responsible for performing the work assigned to them whether or not it is specifically identified in their classification description.

22.2

The Employer will provide every employee covered by this Agreement a copy of their classification description and applicable work related schedules. In the event such descriptions are modified, the employee will be notified in writing of such modifications. The employee will also be notified in writing of permanent changes in work schedules.

22.3

During the life of this Agreement, should the College modify existing classification descriptions and/ or job titles, upon request from the Union, the College and the Union shall meet to discuss such modifications.
