CNM Employee Memorial

CNM values its employees very highly, and in turn, CNM employees value each other as colleagues, as friends, as family.

Fittingly, the College maintains a memorial for deceased employees, located at the western edge of the Main Campus plaza to the north of Jeannette Stromberg Library.

The Employee Memorial is mandated and governed by CNM Policy IS - 2524 and by Section XII of the Employee Handbook. The Marketing & Communications department administers the installation.

Who is commemorated

Current Employees
Current employees who die while employed by CNM and deceased former CNM employees are commemorated on the Campus Memorial.

The name of an employee who dies while in service at CNM is placed on the memorial at no charge. This process is initiated by the Marketing & Communications Office.

Former Employees
By written request, the name of a former employee who is deceased may be added to the memorial based on the following criteria:

  • Verification by the Marketing & Communications Office of the deceased's CNM employment
  • Payment of the cost of the plaque, to be determined by CNM, by the requestor or sponsor.

Anyone may make this request by contacting the Marketing & Communications Office and completing a Request for Campus Memorial Plaque form.
