Folders
Folders hold documents, images, pages, and forms on your site.
As a contributor, you can:
- Create a folder to hold documents, images, pages, and forms.
- Delete a folder that's no longer needed or out-of-date.
- Edit a folder by renaming, hiding, publishing, and choosing a default page for your folders.
Create a Folder
To create a new folder on your site, follow these steps:
- Navigate to where you want the new folder to be housed (the Contents view from the side menu can help you here).
- Select Add new..., then Folder from the side menu.
- Fill in the Title and Summary fields accordingly. Use the Settings tab as necessary.
- When you are done, click the Save button to save your folder.
Note: New folders are set as Private until published. Also, published folders will appear in the navigation area (when viewing an item within that folder, such as a page) unless you select Exclude from Navigation in the Settings tab.
Save Your Files
Deleting a folder from the CNM website is not recoverable. If you need to keep a copy of the folder's contents, download them before deleting.
Delete a Folder
To delete a published folder, follow these steps:
- Select the folder by opening it. The title of the folder will be at the top of the page.
- Select State: Published, then Submit for Deletion from the side menu.
The Web Content Team will send you an email to confirm the folder deletion prior to removing it. Deleted folders cannot be recovered. If you want to move items within a folder to a different place on the site, please contact the Web Content team.
