Cosmetology Services at the Suncat Salon

Cosmetology services at the Suncat Salon are offered to the public under the supervision of licensed instructors.

Hours and Location 

  • Tuesday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (cosmetology services)
  • Tuesday - Friday: 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. (select esthetic and nail services)

The CNM Suncat Salon is the perfect place to refresh your look while supporting student learning. Our Cosmetology program students provide hands-on services including haircuts, manicures, pedicures, hair removal, and facials, while advanced students offer hair color and chemical services such as perms and relaxers—all under the supervision of licensed instructors. 

We also proudly partner with Wellness CNM by offering service vouchers at the Main Campus Food Pantry to CNM students who could use a little extra TLC.

Suncat Salon Policies 

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Children must have adult supervision and are not allowed in the cosmetology lab
  • For health reasons, clients may not work on themselves
  • CNM may refuse service to any client with health or non-compliance issues
  • Clients must arrive at the beginning of class time to receive chemical services and up to an hour after class time for other services
  • Schedule and lab hours are subject to change without notice due to educational requirements for students
  • Cash only—No bills larger than $20 accepted

Please note: Color and all other chemical services require a consultation, patch test, and strand test at least 24 hours in advance, with pricing discussed during your visit.

Wash and Style

  • Wash and Blow Dry: $5 
  • Haircut with Wash: $10
  • Haircut with Wash and Blow Dry: $15 
  • Wash and Deep Condition: $10
  • Wash, Deep Condition, and Blow Dry: $15
  • Hot Comb, Curling Iron, Flat Iron, or Wand: $5 
  • Braids: $2 each 

Perms (Starting Prices)

  • Permanent Wave: $30, with each additional solution box at $10 
  • Specialty Wrap Perm: $50, with each additional solution box at $10

Color (Starting Prices)

  • Retouch (up to two inches): $15 
  • Full Head Color Deposit: $30, with each additional color/tube at $10 
  • Partial Highlights (up to 12 foils): $15, with each additional color/tube at $10
  • Highlights, Half Head (above occipital): $30, with each additional color/tube at $10 
  • Highlights, Full Head (55 foils): $45, with each additional color/scoop/tube at $10
  • Balayage: $65, with each additional color/scoop/tube at $10
