CNM's Aviation Technology program prepares you for certification as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician. With experienced instructors guiding you through the fundamentals of aviation maintenance technology, you will learn about airframe electrical systems, engine inspection, assembly and rigging, and much more.

- Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) saves students time and money on their degree or certificate program at CNM. If you have FAA Mechanic Airframe and/or Power Plant certifications, you can receive credit for courses in the Aviation Maintenance AAS program by filling out the FAA Mechanic Certifications form.

- Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, modification, or repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
- Examine maintenance records and flight logs to determine if service and maintenance checks and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals.
- Inspect new, repaired, or modified aircraft to identify damage or defects and to assess airworthiness and conformance to standards, using checklists, hand tools, and test instruments.
