PHLB 1010, PHLB 1092, and PHLB 1090 (ONE-TERM OPTION)
This pairing of courses includes basic concepts in venipuncture and skin puncture procedures along with an overview of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, quality assurance, and medico-legal issues. These linked courses create a community of students gaining the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for the practice phlebotomy procedures using artificial arms and human subjects. Students will have an opportunity to practice phlebotomy procedures on actual patients in area hospitals and clinics.
Students should be aware that MLT 1001 is a pre- or co-requisite to PHLB 1010. Registration errors will occur if the MLT 1001 is overlooked.
