Summer 2026

COS 1010, 1020, 1030, 1040, 1050, 1192, 1080, 1092, 1194, 2040, 2050, 2493, 2505, 2511, 2590 and 2692

The paring of these courses is designed to foster a community of learners practicing specific skills as a cohort within the Nail Technician Certificate and Cosmetology AAS programs.

EMS 1053, EMS 1093, and EMS 1190

This pairing of courses is required for gaining EMT-Basic licensure in the State of New Mexico. Students must also take HLTH 1001 as a pre- or co-requisite. If taking HLTH 1001 as a co-requisite, please do so IN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF THE TERM. These linked courses create a community of students gaining the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to provide entry-level emergency care in the pre-hospital environment. The clinical Course EMS 1190 has a 5-week classroom component along with a clinical experience in the hospital, which is scheduled OUTSIDE OF REGULAR CLASS HOURS VIRTUALLY. Please register for the learning communities as grouped below.

EMS 1412, EMS 1493, and EMS 1890

This pairing of courses is required for gaining EMT-Intermediate licensure in the State of New Mexico. It is preferred that students be licensed EMT-Basics with pre-hospital experience to take this course. Students who have recently completed their EMT-Basic courses and are in the process of taking their licensure exam may also attend. These linked courses create a community of students gaining the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to provide intermediate-level emergency care in the pre-hospital environment.

NA 1020, NA 1093, and NA 1190

This linking of courses is designed to put students in cohorts through their Nursing Assistant theory, lab, and clinical courses to provide better continuity of instruction and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.

NMNC 1110 and NMNC 1135

This linking of co-requisite courses is designed to establish cohorts through their theory and lab courses to provide better continuity of instruction and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.

NMNC 1210, NMNC 1220, NMNC 1230, and NMNC 1235

This linking of co-requisite courses is designed to establish cohorts through their theory and lab courses to provide better continuity of instruction and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.

PHLB 1010, PHLB 1092, and PHLB 1090

This pairing of courses includes basic concepts in venipuncture and skin puncture procedures along with an overview of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, quality assurance and medico-legal issues.  These linked courses create a community of students gaining the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for the practice phlebotomy procedures using artificial arms and human subjects.  Students will have an opportunity to practice phlebotomy procedures on actual patients in area hospitals and clinics. 

MLT 1001 is a pre- or co-requisite for PHLB 1010. Registration errors will occur if not enrolled accordingly.

EMSS 1120, EMSS 1120L, and EMSS 1121

This pairing of courses is required for gaining EMT-Basic licensure in the State of New Mexico. Students must also take HLDD 1117 as a pre- or-co-requisite. If taking HLDD 1117 as a co-requisite, please do so in the first two weeks of the term. These linked courses create a community of students gaining the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to provide entry-level emergency care in the pre-hospital environment. The clinical Course EMSS 1121 has a five-week classroom component along with a clinical experience in the hospital, which is scheduled outside of regular class hours virtually. Please register for the learning communities as grouped below.

NUAS 1110, NUAS 1110L, NAUS 1115 and NAUS 1120

This linking of courses is designed to put students in cohorts through their Nursing Assistant theory, lab and clinical courses to provide a better continuity of instruction and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.

NMNC 1110 and NMNC 1135

This linking of co-requisite courses is designed to establish cohorts through their theory and lab courses to provide better continuity of instructions and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.

NMNC 1210, NMNC 1220, NMNC 1230, and NMNC 1235

This linking of co-requisite courses is designed to establish cohorts through their theory and lab courses to provide better continuity of instructions and to avoid students having to travel to multiple campuses.
