Senior citizens qualify for a reduced tuition rate of $5 per credit hour, up to six credit hours per term. The tuition discount applies only to Arts & Sciences courses. To qualify, the student must be age 62 or older prior to the beginning of the term and must be classified as a New Mexico resident for tuition purposes.
To receive the senior citizen discount, eligible students must submit a completed Senior Citizen's Discount Form (21 kb) 
to the Records Office at Main Campus or the Admissions Office at all other campuses. The discount form must be approved by the tenth day of the term. The form is available at the above locations and in pdf format. If you choose to print the Senior Citizen Discount form, the printed form must be clear, legible, and printed on plain white paper.
Note: The discount does not apply to Adult Education classes, workshops, and other non-credit courses, or to occupational or developmental courses.
