CNM is pleased to announce that Dr. Rosenda Minella, who has been serving as the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Success for the past three years, will become the Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Success on July 1.

Dr. Nireata Seals has been serving as the Vice President of EMSS for the past five years. She was elevated to Executive Vice President of the Learner Journey in January.

“I’m confident that Dr. Minella is the right leader to guide the very important work of the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Success (EMSS),” said CNM President Tracy Hartzler. “EMSS has made great progress over the past five years under Dr. Seals’ leadership, and Dr. Minella has proven she has the executive leadership skills and vision to continue advancing our strategic goals and priorities related to the Learner Journey. She is a native New Mexican and a proud graduate of CNM who cares deeply about our students and community, and I’m so pleased that she has accepted this new role to serve our learners and community at this important time. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Minella.”

Dr. Minella, a first-generation college graduate in her family, graduated from CNM (then Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute, or TVI) with an associate degree in Pre-Management in 2002, then transferred to the College of Santa Fe where she earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration. She earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from New Mexico State University, and recently earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico.

“I’m a proud CNM (TVI) graduate, and this role comes full circle for me,” said Dr. Minella. “I’ve lived the impact of this institution, and that stays with me in every decision I make. It’s a responsibility I carry with purpose because I know what’s at stake for our learners.

“This role reflects years of shared work, not individual achievement. Our EMSS team shows up every day to do the hard, meaningful work behind student success. As we move into this next chapter, I’m committed to leading with heart, staying grounded in our purpose, and continuing to build a student experience that truly delivers.”

Dr. Minella worked at the New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation for 16 years before joining CNM as Assistant Director of Financial Aid in 2013. She held several other leadership positions at CNM, including Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Operational Technologies before becoming Associate VP of EMSS three years ago.
