Winners for 2023 NM Ethics in Business Awards Announced

The annual New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards program honors for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, and individuals in New Mexico that demonstrate a strong commitment to the highest level of ethical business practices in daily operations, management, and personal philosophies, and in their response to crises and challenges. Nominations were reviewed and vetted by the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards Screening Committee. The finalists went through an additional vetting process that included participation of CNM business students. 

The 2023 winners are:

PNM Award for Individual Excellence in Ethical Business Practice, in Honor of John Ackerman - Anne Haines
Anne Haines is President/CEO and Founder of DreamSpring, a community development organization in Albuquerque since 1994 providing financing and support to under-represented and under-capitalized entrepreneurs. Hopkins Award for Excellence in Ethical Practice by a Non-Profit Organization- Saranam, LLC
Saranam, founded in 2004 and located in Albuquerque, is an innovative two-generational program that addresses the significant underlying causes of homelessness and poverty—lack of support systems, despair and isolation. Saranam provides families with safe housing, intensive case management, a supportive community, and a pathway to self-sufficiency through education. With basic living needs provided for up to two years, families can focus their efforts on education, vocational development and acquiring life skills for independent living. Emerging Leader in Ethical Excellence - Holly Patterson            
Holly Patterson grew up in Farmington, N.M., and graduated from Dartmouth College in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology and Studio Art. She is a business coach and program coordinator within the Navajo Nation’s first creative co-working space and business incubator organization called Change Labs. She is a freelance graphic designer, videographer, and digital media content creator helping to spread the awareness of mental and behavioral health resources in Indigenous Communities within New Mexico, along with supporting Native students pursuing higher education, entrepreneurial marketing and business consulting for growing indigenous businesses. Rust Award for Excellence in Ethical Business Practice by a For-Profit Business- Kei & Molly Textiles, LLC.
We are Kei Tsuzuki and Molly Luethi – two friends, mothers, and printers living in Albuquerque. We founded Kei & Molly Textiles, LLC in 2010 to create an artisan-quality printing studio dedicated to developing good jobs in our community. We began in Albuquerque’s International District, and though our studio is now outside of this area, we remain committed to creating good jobs for immigrants and refugees, and work with refugee resettlement programs to find many of our employees.
