The Cybersecurity Center at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) is dedicated to preparing you to join the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Launch Your Career in Cybersecurity with High Quality Education at CNM
Cybersecurity programs and experienced instructors prepare you for high-demand careers protecting data and defending against cyber threats. Our courses include instruction on network defense, ethical hacking, and digital forensics, giving you hands-on skills to succeed in the fast-growing world of cybersecurity.
The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Cybersecurity Associate of Applied Science has been validated for Central New Mexico Community College by the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Program of Study.
Under the CNM Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program, we offer:

Through our partnership with Deep Dive and CNM Ingenuity, we offer a full IT Professional Certificate Series, or you can take the following classes individually:

CNM Events
In April 2025, Southwest Boss of the SOC (BOTS) Capture the Flag event was hosted at five different locations including Smith Brasher Hall, home of the CNM School of Business, Hospitality and Technology. A total of 87 Teams from different states participated. We will host another event coming October 2025— stay tuned for more information on how to join!

Industry Advisory Board
The Cybersecurity Center at CNM is guided by an Industry Advisory Board of professionals who ensure that our programs remain aligned with workforce needs and industry standards. Industry advisory board members provide expert guidance to keep CNM Cybersecurity programs aligned with current workforce needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies. They also create opportunities for students through internships, mentorship, and direct connections to employers.
