Learn How to Access myCNM

Find out how to sign in to myCNM and get a basic overview of what myCNM offers.

Use myCNM to

    • Register and pay for classes
    • Check grades and transcripts
    • Check financial aid status
    • Request parking permits
    • Access calendars and maps

Your myCNM account is primarily used to register and pay for classes, but it houses much more.

Accessing your myCNM account requires a CNM email address and password. Below is how to get this information.

Username, Email Address and ID Number

Your CNM email address is your username followed by @cnm.edu (i.e., joesmith@cnm.edu).

If you don't know your username, look it up with your ID number and date of birth. If you don't know your ID number, please visit our contact page. We will need to ask you a few questions directly to get your ID number for you.

    Password

As a first-time user, your default password is your date of birth (in MMDDYY format) followed by "atCNM". For example, if your date of birth is November 4, 1998, you'd enter "110498atCNM".

When you enter your default password in myCNM (please note, entering your password is the step after entering your CNM email address) you'll be brought to a new page to set up a password. This will require your CNM username, ID number and date of birth. You will then be able to pick your own password, which must include the following:

    • A minimum of 8 characters
    • At least one uppercase letter
    • At least one lowercase letter
    • At least one number

You will use this password along with your CNM email to sign in to any CNM site, including CNM Learn and your Outlook email

We recommend bookmarking your username and password assistance pages. You can use these at any point, whether you're a new or established student.
