Learn How to Access myCNM

Find out how to sign in to myCNM and get a basic overview of what myCNM offers.

Use myCNM to

  • Register and pay for classes
  • Check grades and transcripts
  • Check financial aid status
  • Request parking permits
  • Access calendars and maps

Your myCNM account is primarily used to register and pay for classes, but it houses much more.

Accessing your myCNM account requires a CNM email address and password. Below is how to get this information.

Username, Email Address and ID Number

Your CNM email address is your username followed by @cnm.edu (i.e., joesmith@cnm.edu).

If you don't know your username, look it up with your ID number and date of birth. If you don't know your ID number, please visit our contact page. We will need to ask you a few questions directly to get your ID number for you.

You’ll use your CNM account and password to access CNM email and Brightspace (for online classes and some face-to-face classes).

The first time you log in to myCNM, your password will be the last four digits of your CNM ID number with GoSuncats! after it. If the last four digits of your password were 4567 for example, you would enter 4567GoSuncats! to get started.

After you log in, you’ll complete the next two steps:

  • Secure your account by setting up Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
  • Create your first CNM password. Your password should be at least 8 characters long, should have at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one number and not include your name or CNM user name. Learn more about password requirements.

These steps help to keep your CNM account and information safe. Use the password you created for CNM Brightspace and your Outlook email. We recommend bookmarking these username and password assistance pages. You can use these at any point, whether you're a new or established student
