Here are the SEVEN EASY STEPS to apply for financial aid:
- Pick up a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at any of the four CNM campuses.
- Complete the form using the requested tax returns or income tax information. Call (505) 224-3090 for an appointment with LULAC or EOC for assistance in completing your application
- File by mail - Mail the completed paper application in the attached envelope. OR
File electronically - Apply for a PIN online; submit your application online (click the image FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid below) using your PIN to sign your application electronically.
-

Students who file the application electronically must mail the signature page to the address designated.
- Within 4-8 weeks, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR).
- Call or e-mail a financial aid representative at Main or Montoya campus for further instructions.
- In 2007-2008, CNM is selecting its own students for verification. Therefore, students whose Student Aid Reports (SAR) state they have been selected for verification should disregard that statement. Students selected for verification by CNM will receive a Request for Document letter requesting a Verification Worksheet and copies of their or their parent's federal tax returns.
