Article 30: Payment For Unused Sick Leave

Each employee whose most recent commencement date of employment began prior to July 1, 1990 and who, at the time of employment termination is eligible to retire under the Educational Retirement Act shall be entitled to receive payment for accrued sick leave in accordance with the Employee Handbook and the following formula:

30.1

Each eligible employee who has accrued between 150 and 227 sick leave days shall be eligible for one (1) day's pay for each two (2) days of sick leave in excess of 150.

30.2

Each eligible employee with fewer than 150 accrued sick leave days shall be eligible for one (1) day's pay for each three (3) days of sick leave.
