FOCUS 2 Career Assessment

FOCUS 2 is an online, interactive career exploration tool that combines career exploration and decision making into one comprehensive tool. FOCUS 2 also helps students determine the right major that supports their career goals. Students typically need 1 to 2 hours to explore all the resources in FOCUS 2.

Take Self Assessments

After logging in using your new FOCUS 2 account, start at Career Readiness or Self-Assessment.

  • Career Readiness is a great starting point to address and identify involvement in activities that support career and educational decisions and identify academic strengths.
  • Self-Assessment is where you can take five different quizzes to find more about your work interests, personality, skills, values, and leisure interests. Look through your list of recommended careers and highlight the top 5-10 choices.

Learn More About Careers

  • See Your Top Career Choices helps you identify and explore occupations and majors from your assessment results. Save your favorite occupations and majors.
  • Explore the Possibilities shows you occupations by name or industry. Compare occupations side-by-side. Find majors at CNM that match your career interests by going to "What can I do with a major in?"
  • Your Career Portfolio is where you can review and print your portfolio, including a summary of your assessment results. Save at least 3-4 occupations and majors of interest. Bring your portfolio when you meet with an Academic Advisor or Achievement Coach.
