Non-Traditional Students

Basic information for non-traditional students on applying to and registering for classes at CNM.

The non-traditional student application is for students who do not want financial aid, are not going to declare a major, or are attending part-time (six credit hours per term or less).

Apply Online

To apply to CNM, follow these steps:

  1. Fill out an online application (CNM does not charge an admission fee).
  2. You will receive a CNM student ID number or password at the end of your application. Print the page or save your ID number somewhere safe.
  3. Set up your myCNM account using the ID number given to you at the end of your application.
  4. If you have taken classes at other institutions, submit your transcripts to CNM.
  5. You may want to submit your ACT or SAT test scores, transfer credits or take the Accuplacer exam if you would like to place into higher level courses. Find out more about .

Students interested in non-credit workforce training are encouraged to visit CNM Ingenuity or Unmudl.

  1. See this term's offerings in the schedule of classes.
  2. Schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor if you have any questions or concerns.

  4. You must set up your method of payment within 24 hours of registering for classes.
