Submit Your 2020-2021 FAFSA
The 2020-2021 FAFSA will be available beginning on October 1, 2019. The FAFSA for the 2020-2021 academic year will use tax information from the 2018 tax year, which are the taxes typically filed on or before April 15, 2019. There is no need to wait until after you file taxes like in previous years to fill out your 2020-2021 FAFSA.

IRS Data-Retrieval Tool
The IRS Data-Retrieval Tool allows applicants who have already filed their federal income tax returns to pre-fill the answers to some questions on the FAFSA by transferring data from their federal income tax returns.
Note: At the beginning of the FAFSA processing cycle (October 1), the IRS Data Retrieval tool may not be available until late October.
File your 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to increase your chances of being considered for priority awarding and allow time to plan for the 2019-2020 school year, which covers Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020.
If you have completed the FAFSA but did not request that a record be sent to CNM, you can still do so. Log into the FAFSA site, click "Add or Delete a School Code" in the FAFSA Follow-Up Step 3 section and add CNM's Federal School Code (004742).
