December 1, 2017 -- Four CNM students have landed coveted and highly competitive, four-month paid internships with NASA that will start Jan. 16. Three students will be interning at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and one will be at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

November 21, 2017 -- CNM is the first post-secondary institution in New Mexico to be accredited to offer Competency Based Education (CBE) programs. CNM was recently approved for accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Nov. 21, 2017 -- Two major construction projects will begin in February that will transform the landscape of CNM’s Main Campus – the renovation of Max Salazar Hall, CNM’s largest instructional building, and the construction of the new CNM-APS-NACA Joint-Use Building that will be erected just south of Ken Chappy Hall. Both projects were made possible by voter-approved bonds.

Nov. 15, 2017 -- CNM will start putting more control, convenience and power in the palm of students’ hands when it debuts digital higher education diplomas and transcripts for select students on Dec. 15 through the same “blockchain” technology that spawned Bitcoin. CNM will be the first community college in the country to issue student-owned digital credentials through blockchain.

October 16, 2017 -- Last week, the CNM Foundation announced John Joseph as the 2017 CNM Distinguished Alumni Award winner at the annual CNM Foundation Dinner. Joseph graduated in 1980 from CNM with an associate degree in Laser Electro Optics, which helped pave the way for his extraordinary career.
