Dr. Nireata Seals Selected as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success

CNM President Tracy Hartzler announced this week that Dr. Nireata Seals has been selected as the new Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. She’ll begin leading the new Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success in late July.

“Dr. Seals is going to bring a valuable and diverse range of experience and enthusiasm to our CNM community,” President Hartzler said. “I’m very confident that she possesses the talent, knowledge, leadership and experience to help us realize our ambitious vision for the new division. I’m also confident that she embodies our CNM Values and that she will be a champion for Changing Lives, Building Community.”

During an impressive career, she has been serving the needs of students for over 25 years. Most recently, Dr. Seals was the Vice President of Student Affairs and Associate Provost at LaGuardia Community College, which is part of The City University of New York. Prior to joining LaGuardia Community College, she served as Associate Dean of Enrollment Management at Hunter College, which is also part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system.

She’s also been serving on the Comprehensive Youth Development Board that partners with New York City public high schools. The partnership helps young people graduate from high school and make informed decisions on higher education and careers.

“I want to thank everybody who participated on the Selection Committee and everybody who participated in the public forums,” said President Hartzler. “Your input was insightful and helped lead us to choosing the best candidate for this very important leadership role. I hope you’ll help us make Dr. Seals feel welcomed when she begins her work here in late July.”
