Early-stage Businesses Invited to Participate in the IGNITE Community Accelerator
CNM Ingenuity, Inc., Albuquerque Small Business Development Center and SCORE will offer the IGNITE Community Accelerator to early-stage and startup businesses.
The intensive, 10-week program is designed to lift fledging companies to greater heights while generating momentum for the region’s entrepreneurial and economic development efforts.
The IGNITE Community Accelerator will provide each business owner with business services and support valued at more than $15,000, which includes personal business coaching and mentoring by a successful entrepreneur in a similar field.
Walter Paul, Albuquerque chapter chair of SCORE will be the program facilitator and will bring his unique and vast manufacturing background and entrepreneurial experience to inspire and develop new business ventures.
IGNITE is scheduled to start on Friday, Feb. 22, and will run for 10 weeks. IGNITE Day, a time when participants celebrate the conclusion of the program by pitching their companies and demonstrating their products, will be April 26..
The participating companies will get to take advantage of IGNITE Community Accelerator services that include: Up to 30 hours of one-on-one business coaching; 10 hours of business workshops; 48 hours of intense business training; access to co-working space throughout the 10-week program; access to the FUSE Makerspace to help with prototype development if needed; support in developing a 100-Day tactical plan for the business after the Accelerator is over.
The IGNITE program, which will take place on 10 consecutive Fridays, offers eight program days of business development that includes:
- 22nd – Entrepreneurship 101 and The Power to Choose
- March 1st – Exploring Your Business Model
- March 8th – Identifying Your Customer
- March 15th – Marketing and Branding Strategies
- March 22nd – Building a Success Network
- March 29th – Financial Management
- April 5th –Managing Your Business
- April 12th – Bringing It All Together and Telling Your Story
- April 19th – Pitch Practice
- April 26th - IGNITE Day
The program will conclude with IGNITE Day, when each participant will showcase and pitch their product or service to the community.
