Starbucks Now Open on Main Campus. Grand Opening Set for Nov. 8

Students who need a pick-me-up before their morning class and CNM staff members who need a quick snack for their afternoon meeting can now stop by the brand new Starbucks located on Main Campus in the Marketplace @CNM building off University Blvd., just south of Coal Ave. The location had a soft opening last week and will hold its grand opening on Nov. 8 with free cupcakes, hot dogs, and coffee samples. 

Right now, the Starbucks has six employees, including several CNM student employees. The plan is to eventually have a staff of 10-14.

Inside the Marketplace building you’ll also find a convenient Grab n’ Go store with drinks and snacks, as well as Main Campus’ new two-story CNM Bookstore. The Starbucks is currently open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both the Grab n’ Go store and the Bookstore are open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ann Heaton, who oversees the CNM Bookstore as well as the new Starbucks, says she’s excited to offer new conveniences.

“This Starbucks is going to be a great place for students to take a coffee break, study for their next test, and meet new friends,” she says. “It will also serve the community and help expose them to everything that CNM has to offer.”
