Students: Are You Interested in Getting $4 for Every $1 You Save?

Jan. 27, 2014 -- For every $1 saved by eligible, selected CNM students, $4 will be added to the students’ Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) as part of a scientific study on saving.

A total of 600 students will be selected for the scientific study, 300 of whom will be randomly selected to participate in the IDA savings program. Qualifying students must meet a set of eligibility requirements. To participate, students must first attend an upcoming Orientation Session. Click here to find an upcoming Orientation Session or to learn more about eligibility requirements.

The 300 students who receive the IDA will be able to save a maximum of $1,000, which will be matched by $4,000 for a maximum total savings of $5,000. The CNM Foundation and the U.S. Health and Human Services Department will provide the $4 match for every $1 each selected student saves. Students will be able to use the savings to pay for education, purchase a home, or start/expand a small business.
