CNM Students and Employees Mine Recyclables from Mt. Trashmore

March 5, 2015 -- More than 100 people, most of them students, sorted through two days-worth of trash on Wednesday from buildings on Main Campus, as a way to raise awareness about how much recyclable material heads to landfills instead of recycling plants. The Mt. Trashmore event brought attention to the importance of recycling in a variety of ways.

Financial Aid Workshops Set for Feb. 16, 18 and 19

Feb. 13, 2015 -- Now is the time to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2015-16 school year. CNM Financial Aid staff will be on hand at upcoming workshops to help students fill out the paperwork and answer any questions. Students can also get information or apply for 2015-16 CNM scholarships. The workshops will take place Feb. 16, 18 and 19 at 10 a.m. to noon or 1-3 p.m. on Main Campus in the Student Services Center, Room 204-B.

February 3, 2015 -- As the first event of the 2015 RecycleMania Tournament, CNM is sponsoring a tour on Friday, Feb. 6, of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified buildings on Main Campus. The tour, which is open to students, is co-sponsored by the New Mexico Student and Emerging Professionals Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
