The Advantage Scholarship
The Advantage Scholarship covers a portion of tuition and registration fees for current CNM students. Students will need to meet with an advisor to apply. Award determinations will be sent to students via email. The Advantage Scholarship application is available every term.
The Book Scholarship
The Book scholarship covers a portion of “required” books and materials purchased at the CNM Bookstore only. IncludED fees may be assessed for award. Students must meet with an advisor to apply. Award determinations will be sent to students via email. The Book Scholarship application is available every term.
*These awards are not cash awards. The Advantage award is a credit that applies to the students CNM account. The Book award is a credit applied at the bookstore, or Schedule/Bill for IncludED. Applications are reviewed by committee. Not all students are selected. For additional scholarships visit the Financial Aid and Scholarship webpage.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must be registered for classes and have a payment plan in place.
- Students able to complete a FAFSA, are required to do so. If for any reason a student is unable to complete a FAFSA or has questions, a meeting with an advisor in Advisement or a Financial Aid Advisor is recommended.
- Students must know their Financial Aid status prior to application.
- Students receiving Financial Aid, other scholarships or loans will not be eligible.
- Students participating in a consortium agreement with another institution and has that other school as the "Home School" will not be eligible.
If you meet the criteria above, please follow these steps:
- Schedule an appointment with Advisement. Bring class schedule and print out of book costs from the CNM bookstore to your appointment. Get directions on printing these documents.
- It is very important to set up a payment plan with the Cashier's Office to hold your classes while you wait to see if you are awarded. Payment plans must be setup by 5 p.m. the business day after you register for your classes or you will be dropped from your classes. If you are not enrolled in any classes, the committee will not be able to award you.
Note: Completing the Scholarship application does not guarantee you will be awarded.

Directions on how to print your schedule:
- Login to myCNM.
- Select "Registration" tab.
- Click on your "Schedule/Bill" on the left hand menu.
- Select the term (Ex. "Summer 19") in the Term drop down menu and click Submit.
- Print and bring to your meeting with an advisor.
Setting up a payment plan:
- Set up a payment plan in your myCNM account if your class schedule costs more than $100.
- Payment plan costs $50 to set up (a $10 non-refundable set up fee plus $40 down-payment). The remaining amount will be divided into two equal payments.

- Payment plans are available starting the day you register.
Directions on printing a book list:
- Select “Shop Online”
- Textbooks
- Select "Shop by Student ID" tab and enter your Student ID (Ex. 010XXXXXX or Enter Courses.
- If you are unable to see the Required Materials, click the "+" on the right side of the screen and check the box for "New" book price. Make sure there is only one check mark.
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Click "Close"
- If this is the only book you need, go to "Your Shopping Cart" located at the top right of the screen.
- If you are adding another course, click "Select Another Course" and repeat steps 4-8
- Click the print icon located on the top right of the screen.
