CNM Launching New 10-week Computer Programming Bootcamp – Deep Dive .Net

Aug. 9, 2016 -- CNM is launching a new software development and programming bootcamp – Deep Dive .Net – that will focus on software development for the widespread Microsoft-based “.Net” platforms.
August 09, 2016

The bootcamp will be held over 10 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturdays, allowing those who work during the day to access the bootcamp, as well as the pathway it provides to high-demand computer coding careers in New Mexico and across the country.

It will begin Sept. 13 and end Nov. 19.

Through Deep Dive .Net, an addition to CNM’s popular and ongoing Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp, participants will learn “C#” (pronounced C-sharp) and .Net programming in a real-world environment that will provide them with the specialized skills to become Fullstack C# and .Net developers. Large organizations in the region and elsewhere that use Microsoft technologies have a significant need for .Net developers and CNM will help students connect with potential employers. Deep Dive .Net students will also have the skills needed to start their own web development companies.

During the bootcamp, Deep Dive .Net students will build their own websites, learn to host the websites, develop a project portfolio that will impress potential employers and/or clients, and they’ll learn to use the Visual Studio Online Team Foundation Server. They’ll also learn: the basics of C#; Object Oriented Programming; Model-View-Controller (MVC) ; CSS3; and HTML5.

Deep Dive .Net will be taught by Brian Jones, a Microsoft developer since 1999 and the Director of Information Technology at a Human Resources outsourcing company. He has been using the .Net framework since its inception in 2000.

Instruction will take place from Sept. 13 to Nov. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
