Parking Changes Being Implemented for Fall Term

Expanded online services and new prices
August 06, 2020

CNM’s Parking and Fleet Services is implementing a new software system called T2 Flex that will expand online parking services through any internet connection. Students, employees and visitors will now be able to purchase parking permits, pay or appeal a citation, register bicycles, and more. Beginning with the upcoming Fall Term, the new T2 Flex parking system will also provide contactless delivery of parking permits – they will be mailed to your home address. Parking permits will be required for parking in any CNM lots beginning on Aug. 31.

  • Employees will be able to purchase Fall permits beginning Aug. 3 and they’ll be available to students on Aug. 17.
  • Beginning Fall 2020 the General Parking Permit Decal will be $5.00 per term or $15.00 for the annual general permit and a onetime processing fee of $2.50 and will be added to the purchase.
  • The cost of a hangtag for reserved parking lots is $65 per term. For full-time employees choosing annual payroll deduction, the cost will continue to be evenly distributed across paychecks once you re-register your vehicle and select your annual reserved permit in the new system.

Important Info:

  • The T2 parking system is new and will require all students and employees to register all vehicles.
  • For employees who are working off campus, a parking permits will not be required until you are ready to come back to campus.
  • For the Fall 2020 term only, reserved hangtag parking permits will be valid in all reserved lots at main campus and all general lots.
  • General permits are valid in all general lots at all campuses.
  • If you do not have a permit and need to stop by campus to pick something up please use the Free E-Permit or park in the loading zone. You may also park at the parking meters or use the pay by phone app ParkMobile for short term parking.
  • Individuals who do not plan to drive to campus are not required to purchase a parking permit. For those who plan to take the bus to campus, CNM offers free annual ABQ RIDE bus passes to students and employees who have a current CNM ID.
