The 300 students selected for the study will be able to save a maximum of $1,000, which will be matched by $4,000 for a total savings of $5,000. The CNM Foundation and the U.S. Health and Human Services Department will provide the $4 match for every $1 each selected student saves. Students will be able to use the savings for things like buying a house, starting a business or paying for education.

A total of 600 students will be selected for the scientific study, 300 of which will be randomly selected to participate in the matching savings program. Qualifying students must meet a set of eligibility requirements. To participate, students must first attend an upcoming Orientation Session. Several are scheduled, beginning Oct. 16.
